Cecil’s High Tech Auto Care
Cecil’s Hi-Tech Auto Care has been providing quality service to the Vacaville community for over 50 years. Founded by Vacaville resident and Moriel Buick mechanic Cecil Groulx in 1967 as a full service Standard gas station and garage at the corner of Alamo Drive and Merchant Street, and later becoming a Chevron franchisee at the same location, Cecil’s quickly earned a reputation for honest service, fair prices and quality workmanship. In 1990 Cecil decided to modernize the gas station to meet the demands of the market and renovated the facilities to include a mini-mart and additional fuel pumps. In order to continue serving the needs of his service customers, the garage was spun off into its own separate business and was relocated to its current convenient location at 799 Davis St. where it proved to be an instant success.
In 1993 Cecil decided it was time to retire from the service business and handed the reins to long time employee and lead mechanic Mark Elcsisin. 10 years prior Mark had just graduated from High School and was pumping gas at Cecil’s Chevron. Working his way up to mechanic and then owner, Mark spent the next 27 years running the business and continuing the successful legacy of quality service that Cecil’s had become known for. In that time Mark serviced the vehicles of multiple generations of Vacaville residents, becoming a mainstay in the community and winner of 2008 Best Auto Repair shop in the Vacaville Reporter.
In 2020 Mark decided to follow in the footsteps of Cecil and began to look for a successor. He found the perfect candidate in Antonio Munoz, a passionate car and motorcycle enthusiast with a background in racing, and over 20 years of experience working in the powersports industry. With a strong desire to leverage that experience into an independent business that provides excellent customer care and quality service, Antonio sought to acquire a shop that embraced these core values. He found those qualities in Mark and his team at Cecil’s Hi-Tech Auto Care and is proud to carry on their tradition of excellent service.
